The rate at which our taxes are increasing is not sustainable for working families and seniors on fixed incomes. Salah is committed to focusing tax dollars on core services and putting an end to wasteful spending.
Our local infrastructure needs to be improved like the long overdue widening of Bank Street south of Leitrim.
Salah will ensure we get our faire share of funding to maintain and invest in local roads.
A recreational complex to serve the growing number of families in Findlay Creek and Riverside South is long overdue.
In 2017, the City identified and purchased the land at the Southwest corner of Limebank and Earl Armstrong as the parcel for this new recreational facility. Unfortunately, nothing has progressed since that time.
Salah will work closely with city staff and the council colleagues to get this done during the next term of council.
Riverside South and Findlay Creek need better reliable, accessible and affordable bus routes. Until LRT is extended to our community, Salah will ensure to have a better local routes to serve the residents of Riverside South and Findlay Creek.
Neighbourhood Safety is key to our quality of life.
Salah will work hard to ensure a stronger police presence and safer communities.
Local businesses create jobs and make our community vibrant. Salah will ensure the city is there to support local business.
Our children deserve a healthy and promising future. Salah supports smart growth and development - maintaining a balance between our green spaces, parks, homes and businesses
